Senior Accountant Full Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Senior Accountant with a hustle mentality. A switched on, fearless and organised Accountant who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and stand out from the crowd. You will focus on running our Compliance and Advisory side of the business. By running a tight ship and providing service and support you will allow our Director to focus ON the business, whilst you function IN the business. No two days will be the same, but some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing Annual Financial Statements
  • Managing our Accounting Team
  • Monthly Management Reporting
  • Assessing the strategy and drivers of a business which provides endless opportunities for new learnings for you and our clients.
  • Business research tasks
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service
  • Resourceful, trustworthy and professional support to the team
  • Excellent administration and organisation skills
  • Multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize
  • Strong and friendly personality with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent research skills
  • Self-Disciplined – shows initiative, proactive problem solving and autonomous work
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel and Xero
  • 5 years experience in a Chartered Accounting Practice
  • An accounting qualification or something similar would be an advantage but is not essential.

Client Services Administrator Superstar Full Job Description

We’re looking for Client Services Administrator Superstar to join our amazing Christchurch team.  

  • 30 hours per week

We are seeking an enthusiastic Client Services Assistant with a glass half full mentality. A bright, confident and organised individual who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get amongst it. You will focus on providing various bookkeeping services to our clients, along with supporting our Client Services Manager. No two days will be the same, but some of your responsibilities will include:  

  • Reconciling of Xero for various clients 
  • Answering clients queries regarding Xero  
  • Xero training for clients 
  • Debtors and creditors for clients coupled with a strong understanding of the processes  
  • Managing of our client’s income tax payments   
  • Initial document review from clients records in order for Senior Accountant to commence annual accounts preparation  
  • Attention to detail is a must 
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; along with numerical 
  • Excellent customer service 
  • Resourceful, trustworthy and professional support to the team 
  • Excellent administration and organisation skills  
  • Multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize  
  • Strong and friendly personality with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels  
  • Excellent research skills 
  • Self-Disciplined – shows initiative, proactive problem solving and autonomous work 
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel and Xero 
  • Payroll software experience would be advantageous 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Being a member of the NZ Certified Bookkeepers Association or similar would be an advantage but is not essential.
